MRI is a great tool used by many physicians to find many types of pathologies. In MRI the anatomical structures can be seen clear as day in a non-invasive form. From joint fluid, bone, ligaments, tendons, and tissues can be properly studied for better diagnosis and treatment planning. If pain in the knee joint is experienced, rapid treatment is a must. However, an MRI for knee pain is the quickest way for a physician to find out exactly what is wrong. As well as, the best form for treatment planning.

Therefore, if you would like to know if the pain in your knee can be assessed with non invasive treatment or surgery, an MRI is the best and fastest way to find out. A diagnostic imaging center near you is who you would need to contact to have your MRI scan of the knee scheduled.

Diagnostic Imaging Knee

CFL Diagnostic in Orlando, Florida is well equipped with professionals that can help. They provide a high magnetic field MRI machine for all of your diagnostic needs. If you are in need of a knee MRI in Orlando CFL Diagnostic is the place to go. They can help you schedule your knee MRI quickly and efficiently. Single or multiple (MRI right and left knee) body regions can be scheduled simultaneously at your convenience.

Depending on the reason for the exam a contrast agent may be required. For example, with an MRI knee without contrast many things can be assessed. Such as, swelling, fractures, dislocation, tendons and ligaments. However, an MRI knee with contrast may better assess masses, tumors and infections. These are enhanced by the contrast agent so the radiologists can make a better diagnosis.

How should I prepare?

Preparing for a knee MRI scan requires wearing comfortable clothing and the removal of all metal accessories. Patients that have metal or electronic implants from prior surgery should consult with their physician prior to scheduling an MRI for safety concerns. In the scenario where the implant is MRI safe, the patient should provide the MRI technologist with the implant card for more implant specific MRI safety recommendations from the provider. If you are in need of an MRI in Orlando contact your physician to receive a referral. Once you have received the referral contact CFL Diagnostic in Orlando, FL to have your MRI scheduled.

What are the risks of an MRI?

There are some contraindications to having a knee MRI done. Some of these include pregnancy, metal implants, and electronic implanted devices. During pregnancy it is preferable to avoid having an MRI, especially during the first trimester of the pregnancy. The loud noise and heat production from the machine are not recommended during the pregnancy stage. Certain metallic and electronic implants are not MRI compatible. However, the few that are MRI compatible have very specific guidelines from the provider, which must be met, in order to continue with the procedure. If this is your case, please contact your physician and the implant provider for more detailed information regarding your implant. This information will be required prior to your knee MRI test.

Simply one of the best imaging centers you will find in Orlando. I went there in December with my mom, as she had to do an MRI pelvis. We certainly didn’t regret that we chose CFL diagnostic. Their imaging services are excellent, as they have the latest equipment and highly-qualified doctors. I strongly recommend it to anyone whether for MRI scan, consultation or treatment.

Very well-organized imaging center. I had my first ever MRI body with contrast done. The technician was very professional and made me feel very calm. I was a bit nervous after hearing a bunch of stories from others about feeling like they were in a coffin, but I closed my eyes before they rolled me in and took deep breaths, and kept myself calm. The noise made me fall asleep. It was fine, and I was comfortable. I didn't even expect the results of the MRI scan to be so fast. The cost of services is not overpriced, unlike the other places in Orlando. You will receive qualified assistance. I will strongly recommend this Diagnostic Imaging Center to all my friends and relatives.
